This is all folly. This is all about the toxic, gatekeeping pinball player atmosphere. By and large, pinball players are some weird-ass creepy people, and BJ is a prime example. No wonder pinball can’t grow beyond its niche hobby status - who wants to run the risk of offending someone like BJ, and having him sift through anything he can find online that can ruin you?

…manufacturer. Kaneda can barely get 500 subscribers to his Weekly World Pinball podcast, but BJ thinks he can pivot all this to a mini-series?

It really seems like BJ is going to try to make a thing out of all this. Like, a Netflix series or some thing, all about how this rad dude took down this pinball

…sleeping dogs lie? Maybe the investors would have been made right in the end, maybe we’d get some interesting pinball machine, maybe they still would have gone belly up. The only thing we do know for sure is that Blueberry Johnson sure as (Ben) heck wasn’t going to let any of that happen. I’m as intrigued by BJ’s actions as he is intrigued in bringing down Deeproot.

What if BJ and the rest of the motley man children of Pinside would have let

Was it just because Robert said “pinball is easy”? Was it because they employed the much-maligned John Popaduik? Was it because goofy pinball players are constantly wishing everyone but Stern would fail?

I don’t understand why someone living in paradise (also known as Hawaii) would spend all their waking moments combing over the records of what is basically a toy manufacturer. A high-end, expensive toy manufacturer, but a toy manufacturer nonetheless. With all the things happening in the world, why would a person want to focus so intensely on Deeproot?

We all know that Robert Mueller is a scumbag who tried to bilk retirees in order to fund his pinball venture. Not a great thing for someone to do. However - and this is not me condoning his actions, I’m just stating facts - the whole wheel n’ deal, borrowing from Peter to pay Paul type ofis a thing in the investment industry. People do it all the time, they just don’t expect to some overzealous pinball aficionado to come after them and basically dox their company.

Blueberry Johnson’s obsession with all things Deeproot is really cringy and creepy, IMFHO.
